The 1:1 scale displayed at the Geneva Motor Show model stemmed from the decision to concentrate the research efforts of the Masters in Transportation Design team on the search for a solution that blends style with technology and hybrid propulsion with excitement. The result was a state of the art ecological vehicle with the potential to turn the dream of an unpolluted world into reality, without sacrificing the thrill of driving. Taking as its starting point the problems connected to the nature of hybrid vehicles and their somewhat unappealing image, due to them being perceived as being something more intellectual than emotional, the project set itself the challenge of creating a model that was not just “useful” but also aesthetically sophisticated, with startling lines and heightened potential, that might provide these kinds of technologies with greater visibility and appeal.

One of my first hands-on industry experiences that went to market and one that I am proud of to date. I was a key team-member and principal designer to establish the foundation of a new sub-brand for Titan Industries (A TATA Company). My work received critical acclaim from industry leaders and I won an award too.
The range of eyewear designed included 9 collections of over 3 styles each. Each collection derived inspiration from a relevant theme taking the fashion forecast of the upcoming season into consideration. For this project we had to delve deep into research from all angles (market research , manufacturing processes, materials, trends) as this was the launch of the Fastrack Sunglasses brand and we had to set a strong foundation for the future. Happy to say that to date Fastrack Sunglasses is a major player in its field and still going strong.

In 2008 Kohler decided to establish a design centre in India. At that point a number of designers were hired on a freelance for a 2 pronged research. One they wanted to get insight into the local tastes and preferences and two they wanted to see what kind of talent they could attract for their design centre.
A research and design project conducted for Kohler where the requirement was to identify the design directions that catered to different price points and market segments for Faucets and associated bathroom fittings in the Indian market.
Designing around the pre-existing/engineered internals the project went through multiple refinements and this was the final design that was selected to go to market. Final models were created using Autodesk Alias and Solidworks Visualize.
A Project Management software for KPMG's Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects that relied heavily on User Experience Design to deliver detailed Data Visualisation and Analytics for multiple user levels and roles.
The exercise included defining the overall design direction, identity design, user flows for numerous user types, information architecture, UI, interfacing with and guiding front-end development, continuous testing and optimization in an agile development environment. This software is a major success with KPMG and its clients and was the first attempt to develop a software for EPC Project Management, Analytics and Forecasting.

In early 2010 I was approached by KPMG to create a software that would automate their Risk Advisory Practice. More than a decade later we have worked on numerous versions and upgrades keeping in sync with changes in clients needs and new technology. The evolution has gone from a flash based locally run executable that connected to external servers to sync data, to the latest iteration that is a Angular 4.0 webapp with code that allows for teams to collaborate and sync in real-time. I have been responsible for the complete design lifecycle for all iterations and lead the project in its entirety including development and deployment by partnering with highly capable lead developers and guiding development teams to achieve the desired design goals.
